Please Enter Start KM First Before Reach KM

Purpose

This SOP explains why the "Please Enter Start KM First Before Reach KM" validation message appears and how to resolve it.

This validation is commonly seen during the RSA (Road Side Assistance) Complaint & Concern Management (CCM) Process when KM details are being updated. Or other document were km reading is required .

The system requires the Start KM to be recorded before entering the Reach KM. This helps track the actual travel distance covered by the RSA executive and maintains accurate service records.

Validation Message

While updating KM details, the system may display the following message:

Please Enter Start KM First Before Reach KM

This validation prevents users from entering Reach KM before entering the Start KM.

What are Start KM and Reach KM?

Start KM

Start KM is the vehicle odometer reading recorded when the RSA executive starts the journey.

Reach KM

Reach KM is the vehicle odometer reading recorded when the RSA executive reaches the customer's location.

Both values are required in sequence.

Why Does This Validation Appear?

The validation appears when:

  • Reach KM is entered before Start KM.
  • Start KM is left blank.
  • The user skips the Start KM entry.
  • KM readings are entered in the wrong sequence.

Since the system calculates distance based on these readings, Start KM must always be captured first.
