Validation Message

While saving or selecting a customer, the system may display a message such as:

Please Enter a Valid Customer Code

or

Code Not Exists

This indicates that the entered Customer Code is not available in the system.

Why Does This Validation Appear?

The validation appears when:

A Customer Code is entered manually.

The entered code does not exist in the system.

The Customer/Contact is not selected from the dropdown list.

An incorrect or incomplete Customer Code has been entered.

The customer master does not contain the entered value.

Since the system validates the Customer Code against the customer master, an invalid code cannot be accepted.

Example of Invalid Entry

Customer Code = 876543

The entered code does not exist in the system.

Code Not Exists

or

Please Enter a Valid Customer Code 

The record cannot be processed further.

Example of Valid Entry

Select the customer from the dropdown list.

Example:

Customer Code = CUST000123

or select the customer name from the available customer list.

Result

✅ Customer Details Populated

✅ Record Saved Successfully

✅ Validation Removed

Resolution Steps

Step 1: Locate the Customer Code / Contact Field

Navigate to the section containing:

Customer or Customer Code or Contact field.

Step 2: Check the Entered Value

Verify whether the Customer Code was typed manually.

Example

876543

If the code does not exist, the validation will appear.

Step 3: Open the Dropdown List

Click the dropdown available in the Customer Code or Contact field.

A list of available customers will be displayed.

Step 4: Select the Correct Customer

Choose the required customer from the available list.

Do not manually type the code.

Example

The customer details will populate automatically.

Step 5: Verify Customer Information

After selecting the customer, confirm that details such as:

Customer Name Mobile Number Address City 

are populated automatically.

This confirms that a valid customer has been selected.

Step 6: Save the Record

After selecting the customer from the dropdown:

Save

the document again.

The validation will no longer appear.
