For FIR Initiation, Bill To Must Be Warranty, Good Will, or AMC for Service and Parts
Validation Message
While selecting the Is FIR Initiated checkbox, the system may display the following message:
For FIR initiation, Bill To must be Warranty, Good Will, or AMC for Service and Parts
This validation prevents FIR initiation until the correct Bill To option is selected.
Why Does This Validation Appear?
An FIR is generally created for claimable or investigation-related repairs.
Therefore, the system allows FIR initiation only when the Bill To type is:
Warranty or Good Will or AMC
If any Service or Part contains another billing type, FIR initiation will be blocked.
Common Bill To Values That Will Trigger the Validation
Examples:
PAID, FOC , 1st Free Service , 2nd Free Service , 3rd Free Service , etc.
If any Service or Part is assigned one of these billing types, the FIR cannot be initiated.
