Hold or Pause Remark is Mandatory
Validation Message
While saving a service operation, the system may display a message similar to:
Hold Remark Mandatory
or
You cannot leave 'Pause Reason' blank since it is a mandatory field
This validation prevents the record from being saved until a valid hold/pause reason is selected.
Why Does This Validation Appear?
The validation appears when:
Since the job status has been changed from active work to paused work, the system requires a reason for the interruption.

Resolution Steps
Step 1: Open the Service Details
Navigate to the service line where the status has been marked as:
Pause or Hold
Step 2: Click on View Details
Locate the View Details (...) option against the service.
Click:
View Details
This will open the Service Details window.
Step 3: Locate the Pause/Hold Reason Field
In the Mechanic/Supplier Allocation section, identify the field for:
Pause Reason or Hold Reason
Step 4: Select an Appropriate Reason
Choose the correct reason from the available list.
Example
Waiting For Bay Allocation
or
Mechanic Not Free
or
Mechanic On Holiday
Select the reason that best matches the service delay.
Step 5: Save the Record
After selecting the hold/pause reason:
The validation will no longer appear.
