Hold or Pause Remark Mandatory

Hold or Pause Remark Mandatory

Hold or Pause Remark is Mandatory

Validation Message

While saving a service operation, the system may display a message similar to:

Hold Remark Mandatory

or

You cannot leave 'Pause Reason' blank since it is a mandatory field

This validation prevents the record from being saved until a valid hold/pause reason is selected.

Why Does This Validation Appear?

The validation appears when:

  • A service operation is marked as Pause or Hold.
  • No Hold Reason / Pause Reason has been selected.
  • The record is being saved without entering the required remark.

Since the job status has been changed from active work to paused work, the system requires a reason for the interruption.

Common Reasons for Holding a Job

Examples include:

  • Waiting for Bay Allocation
  • Mechanic Not Free
  • Mechanic On Holiday
  • Parts Not Available
  • Customer Approval Pending
  • Vehicle Not Available
  • Cancelled

The exact list may vary based on system configuration.
