Attachment Cannot Be More Than 5 MB
Purpose
This SOP explains why the "Attachment Cannot Be More Than 5 MB" validation message appears and how to resolve it.
This validation can appear anywhere in the application where file or image attachments are uploaded, such as:
The system restricts large file uploads to ensure faster processing, storage optimization, and smooth system performance.
Validation Message
While uploading a file or image, the system may display a message such as:
Attachment Cannot Be More Than 5 MB
or
Please upload image less than 5 MB size
This validation prevents files larger than the allowed limit from being uploaded.
Why Does This Validation Appear?
The validation appears when:
Since the system only allows attachments up to 5 MB, larger files are automatically rejected.
Step 1: Check the File Size
Before uploading, verify the size of the file or image.
Example
Photo Size = 6.8 MB
This exceeds the permitted limit.
Step 2: Reduce the File Size
If the attachment exceeds 5 MB:
Step 3: Verify the Updated File Size
After compression, confirm that the file size is below:
5 MB
Example
Original Size = 6.8 MB
Compressed Size = 2.3 MB
Step 4: Upload the Attachment Again
Select the compressed file and upload it again.
The system should now accept the attachment successfully.
